Jon Bon Jovi Steps In to Help Distressed Woman Off Nashville Bridge Ledge

Rock icon Jon Bon Jovi took on an unexpected heroic role on Tuesday (Sept. 10), stepping in to help a distressed woman who was teetering on the edge of a Nashville bridge.

The dramatic scene unfolded on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge and was captured by surveillance cameras, with footage later released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

The 62-year-old musician, who was in the midst of filming a music video, approached the woman along with another individual and calmly persuaded her to move away from the ledge above the Cumberland River.
